The Table Saw Sold!

The table saw sold - and I made money!

I got quite a few people who responded once and once they saw the pictures that I sent did not respond again. But I did get one person that saw the pictures and haggled me down to $85 for it.

He asked me the reason for getting rid of it and I told him that I had gotten it and a new one both around the same time and did not need 2 (that was the truth  ).

Anyway, he came by, looked at it, paid me, and took it. A win-win for everybody.

I will look at the stores next time before jumping on Craig’s List. It would have not been cool to be stuck with the older saw.

The Whirl of a New Table Saw

Well this is am interesting tail.

I have been wanting a table saw for quite some but with the new house and everything it wasn’t high on the list. But a project came a long that I could not do without a table saw (see my post - I Found a Simple way to do a Deck Railing).

I had looked at a table saw at Sears that was nice and went for about $180 a few months back so this is how much they were in my mind. I was given the budget by the wife of $100 so I decided to check out Carig’s Lists to see what was available.

My Birthday Present to Me - A New Drill Press

One of my favorite stores - Harbor Freight - has had a drill press on sale for the last few weeks that I have been drooling over.

It is going for $39.95. The regular price is $79.95.

Why would I need a drill press when i have a couple of hand drills? To drill straight wholes (trust me I need the help).

The cool thing is that I talked the wife into letting me get it for my “birthday” a whole 2 months ahead of my actual birthday to get it at the sale price. The only thing is that she says I cannot open it until my birthday.

We are under negotiations at this point to see when I can start using it ;-) .
