Ceiling Fan Installations – Slowly but Surely

OK, so installing ceiling fans is a little more work the I anticipated – especially when you have to take down a ceiling fan right after you installed it.

This is what happened -

I got the fan up in the family room with now problems. It went up in about a half hour without a hitch so I decided to cruise over to Elsy’s parent’s room to put up their fan.

Their fan went up easy also. But when I turned it on their was this creaking noise coming from the ceiling because the fan was out of balance. No problem I thought it came with a balancing kit – think again.

I spent the next hour trying to get that thing balanced to no avail.

After taking a break for lunch I decided that the only thing that I could do was take it down and exchange it at the store. It of course came down easier then it went up. I refused to take every piece apart so only the blades came off for the trip to the store.

Needles to say I was spent for the day.

We will try to put it up in a day or two.
