We have finally found how we want to do the decorating for Mikey and Genesis rooms. We got the ideas by visiting some other New homes that were being built near our house.
For Genesis room we want the walls to be a really light strawberry pink color with a painted white picket fence that would be about 3 feet all around the room. Above the fence there would be hand painted butter flies and flowers on the walls. We would get curtains to match.
For the ceiling fan we are going to paint it like a big flower with the center of the fan being green and the blades being either pink or yellow (we are not decided if the pink will be on the ceiling yet.
For Mikey’s room we are going with a Nascar / race car theme since he completely fell in love with the movie Cars when we saw it.
I am looking to do a painted race track on the wall all around his room with the background painted a light grey. We want to get him a race car bed and some garage “tool box” type of night stands and dresser.
His ceiling fan will have the center painted race car red and black with the blades painted checkers.
My wife is going to be heading up Genesis’s room and I Mikey’s. Dan Jr. doesn’t have a room yet or many interests that we can tell so his will be delayed a little bit
