I see a lot of advertising for Dish Network and even some DirecTV but to be honest, Time Warner is ok for us. We used to have DirecTV (very expensive) in El Monte and Grandpa MP used to have Dish Network and he liked them but I just don’t know if they would work here in Texas. With the electric storms that we have here, they may not be the best for us.
I have seen them adversite really good deals on TV but I don’t know if they can beat the deal we have with Time Warner Cable.
My Mom, loves the DVR and I like being able to record Mikey’s favorite TV shows. The TV shows that will keep him tamed at times. I use this recording for when I can’t find anything on TV that he enjoys. One of those shows is Teletubbies.
Anyways, back to Dish Network. I think I am going to stick with my cable company for the time being.
Since we moved to a farm in the country we have Dish Network. We used to have cable (Comcast). Dish Network is unreliable. High wind, storm, cloud going over, ect. No Dish Network. I would love to have cable back.
Susan,
In California it was the opposite. Satellite was the reliable one and cable was not very good.
Now that we are in Texas I can definitely see how cable would be the more reliable one with those crazy thunder storms that we get through here (we just had one today!).
I cannot imagine having to go re-adjust your dish every time there was a storm.
I recently got DishNetwork. I switched from CableOne and previously had DirecTv. Overall i prefer satellite because they have more channels for less and Dish Network has over 25 HD channels.
That is the only thing with Time Warner – we only get a few HD channels even though I have “the HD box”.
We had DirecTv and were satisfied with the quality of the picture but it was just too expensive. I almost pay the same as I did when I had DirecTv but I also get intenet, and phone with unlimited long distance.
Time Warner’s bundle is really cheap. I would be paying almost double if I bought everything separate through other companies.
