I Found a Simple way to do a Deck Railing

The wife and I were lolly gagging down in San Antonio this weekend and stopped by some DR. Horton houses to have a look for decorating/project ideas.

I looked out in to the back yard of one of the homes and noticed that they had put a wood railing around the cement covered porch which is just like ours. I looked at the way that it was put together and was amazed at the simplicity of it.

You will be able to see that it is just some ripped 2 x 4′s for the middles section, a couple of non-ripped 2 x 4 and a 2 x 6 for the top.

That is simple!

I am definitely going to want to do this for our porch.
